A Look Back on Sharkfest ‘11
It’s been a couple weeks since the CloudShark team returned from Sharkfest ‘11. We set a goal early in 2011 to debut our CloudShark Appliance during the conference. And while our table at the vendor reception was small, we did have a great time showing off CloudShark and meeting all of you. Joe, John, Zach, and Mike gave numerous on the spot demos that evening. Non-stop action! We also met a number of folks who have been using our CloudShark.org service since it launched last year.
Back at the conference, we saw some great presentations from Jasper Bongertz, Gerald Combs, Tod Beardsley, Hansang Bae, Betty DuBois, Laura Chappell, and others. It was inspiring to be surrounded by packet enthusiasts for a few days. We also learned quite a bit about how folks are using Wireshark and how we can improve our CloudShark.org service and appliance.
We finished off the week in Sharkfest fashion dining on crab in San Franciso. This was a welcome change after starting the week off at Happy Donut in Palo Alto!
